  • What is FilmmakersNetwork.ie?

FilmmakersNetwork.ie is Ireland's largest filmmaking community, an Irish networking space for people who want to make films. For everyone from novices to busy professionals, it's a place to make contacts, share opinions, discuss movies, contribute ideas, discover talent, build creative relationships and make films.

Founded in 2006 it's an independent, non-profit making organisation and run by filmmakers for filmmakers.

Both an online and offline community, FilmmakersNetwork.ie has run and continues to run many various filmmaking events.

We created and organised the first Galway Fringe Fleadh during the 2009 Film Fleadh.

We also created a new a short festival for Dublin in March 2010. This festival had a number of events from short films screenings, a masterclass on cinematography, a music videos event and an awards ceremony.

We have also held numerous free events from member screening nights, social member meet-ups, public interviews with filmmakers & special film events such as our documentary event Observations held in Filmbase in 2009.

FilmmakersNetwork.ie is founded on the idea that film is a collaborative artform and industry. It's purpose is to help bring filmmakers together.

FilmmakersNetwork.ie is run by its members and anyone can get involved to help develop the Network and its events further.

Best of all it's free to join!
