About sfp326
Role / Occupation:
To date I have written over twenty screenplays and have been a finalist in numerous competitions and award schemes including the prestigious Walt Disney Studiosí Writing Fellowship and the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. My latest screenplay Blood & Sand was recently the winner for Best Screenplay (UK) at the 2009 London Independent Film Festival, and continues to place highly in several ongoing competitions. Hurricane Allie was the winner of the Fade In/Writers Network Screenplay Competition, 1998. Men of Means was produced by Saban International/Blockbuster Entertainment and released in 1999. I have worked as a script reader/editor/consultant as well as done private screenplay writing tutoring, in both the U.S. and Ireland. I have also worked as a journalist, as the Dublin Entertainment Correspondent for Daily Ireland in 2005 and 2006. In November 2007 I graduated from the Huston Film School at NUIG with a MA in Screenwriting. I continue to live and write in Galway.
