About Jemma Nic Lochlainn
Role / Occupation:
Dublin City
I am an actor originally from Donegal but currently based in Dublin. I began my studies in Galway, Ireland learning the Stanislavski Method with a Basic Introduction to Acting and Development which evolved into Acting for the Camera along with Scene Analysis.

I moved to Montreal, Canada where I continued my studies in the Intentional Dreams Production School for the past 3 years. This realistic school of acting taught by Gilles Plouffe focused on the work of renowned actors and teachers such as Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Cheryl Crawford and Harold Clurman and what they did in New York in the 1930's through the study and commitment to the Stanislavski Method. It is here that I broadened as an actor getting a deeper understanding of the realistic method.

I recently got the opportunity to work with John Strasberg in an intensive master class which only helped cement my commitment to this style of acting as his unique teaching puts the actor in the driving seat to independently uncover a deeper understanding and appreciation for the imaginary world of a character.
