Although the administrators and moderators of [ARG:2 UNDEFINED] will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of [ARG:2 UNDEFINED], nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of [ARG:2 UNDEFINED] reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

You also agree to abide by the general guidelines and and rules outlined in the charter:

There is No Free Speech!
This is a privately owned website. You do not have the right to say whatever you want on here. You are expected to obey the rules just like anyone else. Not following the rules will get you banned. It is very simple. You are allowed to discuss anything as long as it doesn't break the following rules.

1. Advertising

  • Commercial advertising is strictly prohibited.
  • Regulation of the all other non-Commercial advertising shall be at the discretion of the moderators.

2. Flaming
  • Posts containing personal attacks on people, whether a Boards user or not, will be edited/deleted. Permanent bans will be handed out on a first offence if a moderator feels it is warranted. There is no argument on this one. Abuse someone and you will be banned. Calling someone an idiot is abuse.
  • If you react to a post by posting an abusive post, you may also be guilty of an offence. It's always better to take the high ground in these situations and ignoring the offending post and simply reporting it.
  • A good rule of thumb for what constitutes what is in-offensive is anything that you'd comfortably say to someone's face without expecting physical retribution in return.

3. Spamming
  • Posts that are nonsensical will be deleted.
  • Multiple and cross posts will be edited/deleted/moved.

4. Discrimination
  • Posts containing objectionable content about any group of persons will be edited/deleted.

5. Copyright infringement
  • Members are not allowed to post looking for links to illegal material or post links or directions to illegal sites/programs.

Three Strikes and You're Out!
This is how offenders will be dealt with on the forum:
  • First offence: Offender will receive a warning in the offending thread and a warning in a private message from one of the moderators. Offending material will be removed. After that, all's forgiven.
  • Second offence Offender will be banned for a week.
  • Third offence: Offender will be banned permanently from

These rules are flexible though and if, for example, the offender's offence is a very serious violation of the rules they may be banned permanently. Also regulars please note that picking on the new users looking for help will not be tolerated. Such behaviour will be met with a ban, remember we were all newbies once.

Reporting Posts
  • Any thread or post that contravenes the charter should be reported. When reporting a post, make sure you have good reason.
  • Posts should be reported by PM to the moderator. You don't need to take the law into your own hands.
  • Someone simply disagreeing with you is not a troll, not all arguments are abusive etc. Abusing this feature is frowned upon.

General Posting Guidelines
Please navigate around the forums before starting a new thread. Use the search function if you think something may have been posted before.

Before you post a thread, consider the following:
  • Is what I'm about to post relevant, coherent and funny or in any way interesting?
  • Does it add to the forum or is it another thread which is pointless and only taking up space?
  • Has it been posted before?
  • Is it suitable for this forum?
  • Am I posting it in the relevant section? Don't just post everything in General... - if you do expect threads to be moved/deleted.
  • Think before you post. If you don't have anything to say then don't bother posting a new thread. Please try to comment as much as you can on any threads you create. If you create a thread in which you ask people to contribute in, contribute first.
  • Don't post people's phone numbers / email addresses without their permission.
  • Using txtspk n ur psts is cnsdrd been rlly stpd cuz u hv qwert kbd n ur pc so xpct 2 b wrnd.

Common Sense Rule
  • Be sensible. The use of 'Technically, what I did is not disallowed by the charter' is not a valid defence
  • This is a non-profit website run by filmamkers who volunteer their time for the greater good. Please be sensible and don't waste all of our time by misbehaving. It wastes precious time managing and policing the forum, time that could be better spent improving and expanding

Always Read the Charter!
  • The charter contains all the rules and guidelines. The charter may be updated at any time. Make sure you are up to date.
  • This is a requirement, and ignorance is not an excuse.
