See there was no mention of his passing in the forum. Am I to presume there are no fans in here?

I think it was mentioned alright but the thread name didn't reflect the subject. Yes, I'm a fan. Watched Wild Strawberries again last week.
I've only seen this, Seventh Seal and Through a Glass, Darkly (and a long time ago too) but I was always very impressed with him.

I liked a handful of his films, but will always recognise him as a very influential and important director.

That's it now, all the pantheon directors have passed on.
