Want more sound experience?????

Hi Guys,

Our sound recordist for our shoot next weekend 19/20 July has just cancelled on us.
We have all the equipment and our DOP is experienced in sound recording so he can lend a helping hand although he will be busy with his own role. Basically im looking for someone to come on board who has a bit of experience. Like i said we have our own equipment. The role is expenses only.

Hi Lesley, I've rung the mobile number you provide a couple of times today and left a message with my number, but haven't heard back so I'm writing this in haste.

I did Noel Quinn's 'Sound for Film' one-weekend course (since retitled 'Sound Location Recordist' course) at Filmbase a couple of years ago and I've done Sound Assistant, mixer and boom op a number of times on shorts since 2004. A few weeks ago I was engaged as Sound Recordist for the first time on a shoot that only lasted a day (so far) and where it was stated that 'any sound experience would do' and I got Alan Coleman from Filmbase Equipment dept to kindly give me, the director/camera op and the SA a quick crash course in operating the sound equipment on the day and we muddled through. That's my only experience as the actual Recordist on a shoot so far but I'm emboldened by the fact there'll be someone to watch over me on your set who has done the job so if you can't get anyone else I'm free this weekend (as of now) and I can e-mail my CV to you directly if you send the e-address. I've crewed in other positions on shorts but if you get anyone else qualified to be recordist it's a no-brainer...
