Default Deep focus without a zoom lens?

Hey,
Does anyone here know how to acheive deep focus without the use of a zoom lens? Also, I was wondering if it would be different for digital video than for real film.
Paul.

Paul,

Deep focus or shallow focus (i.e Depth of field) has nothing to do with using zoom lenses or prime lenses.

If you want more depth of field (deep focus) then you can either use more light to shoot at a deeper T-stop or shoot on a wider angle lens or shoot on a faster film stock/higher gain setting to allow you to shoot at a deeper t-stop without actually needing more light. Obviously you can use a combination of all three as well.
The best results will come from lighting to a higher t-stop.

Shooting on a small format digital video camera will give you more depth of field then shooting on film.
