Was wondering if you have an idea like the one i was wondering about, The disappeared. Is it better to set it in America because of the size of their "small" towns as opposed to Eire. I mean they're small but usually have an expansive hinterland or usually massive woodland where say ppl could "disappear". Maybe not just set in the U.S but you get what i mean, i hope, thanks.

Eastern Europe seems to be a favourite location for horror films lately (although the tradition goes back to Dracula).
It's an interesting question - choosing the setting for the story is a big decision: It has to be appropriate to the story you want to tell, but at the same time offer a market for the completed film AND be shootable on the kind of budget you're targeting. So, for example, a horror film about zombies running amok in Monte Carlo might not be a great choice of setting. |

It does, doesn't it?
Problem is it's extremely expensive (and difficult) to shoot in Monte Carlo; the budget and potential market for a zombie movie wouldn't warrant it. Also a Monegasque zombie flick would require very expensive costuming. Hordes of Armani- and Gucci-clad zombies... actually, sounds like Brown Thomas on a Saturday. |

Then just to add more oomph.... set it around the Monaco F1 race........Ive always reckoned F1 cars would make great Zombie Killers!!
